Who I am

Hi. As you probably worked out, I’m Chris and I write.

I was writing for one of the most famous brand names on planet Earth. Then, after nearly 14 years, I realised I love writing so much that I really don’t want to do much else. Except cook. And walk my dog.

So now I’d like to write for you.

I live in the creative spark of Bristol but, thanks to the wonders of modern technology, I’m available to you anywhere in the world.

To find out what I write when I’m not cooking, please take a good look around this site.

And if there’s anything I can help with, get in touch.

Have fun,

Chris

A bit more about who I am

I hold two degrees, in Language & Communication and Environmental Studies. The latter hard-earned in 2014 after studying part-time and working full-time at Virgin Media.

I worked for two cancer charities, corporate fundraising and PRing, before joining Virgin. I trained technical products to business customers – translating complex geekspeak for users to understand. I spent several years leading innovative cultural change in internal comms and engagement. I took responsibility for Sustainability and Community work within a Corporate Affairs team.

I write reports, blogs, marketing and articles both online and in print. In fact, I write all kinds of materials for all kinds of organisations.

Click the links for more about about what I do and a sample of what I’ve done. I’m also on LinkedIn.
